We met when we were neighbors our junior year of college. We were friends for three whole years before we started dating.

We started dating on New Years Day, 2020. We made lots of fun memories going on dates in the city and traveling to and from each other while we were long distance. Conrad was still in college at Illinois State University, and Kimmie loved going back to Normal to visit.

We got our first dog, Lyra! During the pandemic, we sheltered in place together more often than not. Since Conrad was working remotely, he was able to stay with Kimmie in her apartment in Champaign while she got through grad school, and of course, to help with puppy Lyra.

We moved to Northwest Arkansas together and officially moved in to our first place together. We've loved living in Fayetteville so much and have built such a wonderful life together here.

We adopted our second dog together, Vegas. She was the perfect addition to our family and an instant best friend for Lyra. We all love to go camping and hiking together in Northwest Arkansas.

We got engaged at Redwood National Park in California! Conrad surprised Kimmie during a trip to Oregon and Northern California. In the Grove of Titans, Conrad got down on one knee and asked Kimmie to marry him.

We bought a house! Getting to own a house together that we can settle down in and call our own has been the best experience. Conrad has loved getting to start and spend time in his garden, and Kimmie has her own library where she spends cozy nights curled up with a good book.
